When was the band formed?and How did you form?

Cassie
We formed in March 2007 while eating brunch at a Mexican restaurant.
We decided to start a band and then started practicing a few days
later.

Please introduce the member now.When did Ali alternate with　Frankie?Why?Katy and Frankie's parts had changed in the single of ITR. Do you change the part?

Cassie
We switched drummers in July, it just wasn't working out before. Katy and Frankie used to trade off drums and bass just for fun, but when Ali joined we thought it would probably be a better idea for each girl to stay with one instrument most of the time.

Was the member in other bands in the past?Is there a band that serves concurrently now?

Cassie
Yeah, we were all in small punk bands, none of which are still together.

I heard that the band name had been Inspaiyaed to Henry Darger.Can you tell anything of Henry?

Cassie
He was a crazy janitor that wrote a really really really really really long book. We like the Vivian Girls because they're both innocent and tough, which is pretty cool.

Cassie is making the cover art of ITR album.It's cool&Good.Can you explain the cover art?

Cassie
It's a drawing of the view from the roof of my old apartment in Brooklyn. I did it as an assignment for one of my Senior Project classes in art school. Then one day I showed the drawing to Frankie and Katy and they said we should make it the album cover.

What high school age did you spend?When did you start musical instruments?

Cassie
Katy and I both played saxophone in Band in elementary and middle school. I took piano and guitar lessons too when I was in high school.
Katy took accordion lessons in middle school and then started playing bass three years ago.
Ali played drums in her school band starting in elementary school.

Please explain your sounds to everyone in Japan.

Cassie
Our friend Mark likes to say that we're kind of like the Beach Boys meets Nirvana, but girls. I think that's a pretty good description of us!

Punk,Garage,Surf,60's,Shoegaze,etc....Please tell five best albums. Do you like to buy the record?Who is the record crazy in girls?

Cassie
Five best albums are:

Are you listening to what tune usually?Do you listen to the roots music?

Cassie
We like listening to anything by the Wipers or Nirvana.
We also like to listen to 60's pop songs.

You are doing the cover in the single.What kind of cover are you doing another?

Cassie
In our single we covered the Beach Boys' "Girl Don't Tell Me." We like this song because it is one of the very few Beach Boys songs with absolutely no harmonies so we thought it would be fun to add harmonies.

I read SPIN. You said"Love song is Best".Are you falling in love?Tell favorite lyrics?

Cassie
I wish I was falling in love! I think most of my lyrics are about when you think you're falling in love but really you're setting yourself up to be heartbroken and disappointed. Which is a total bummer but it happens more often than not.

Can you explain 1st album?How many days was it recorded?Tell the story that everyone doesn't know.

Cassie
We recorded and mixed the whole thing in three days and with $900 -which is a very small budget for recording. It was freezing when we recorded the album cuz we recorded it in the middle of winter in a room with no heat. We ordered a lot of Mexican food while we were there and ate nothing but nachos for three days.

I have not listened to your new single"surf up" yet. What single is it?Tell the wild world label.It is gorgeous!!!!!!!!

Cassie
We recorded this single all by ourselves in the summertime. It is our first recording with Ali on drums. The 7" is surf-themed - we have a song called "Surfin Away" and our Beach Boys cover too. We did almost every part of the record ourselves - putting it out on our own label, I did the artwork, and we silkscreened all the art by ourselves tool. It took forever but it was so worth it!

Tell the decided schedule in 2009. and Please tell any activity schedule etc. for the future.May I expect the release of your 2nd albums?

Cassie
We are going to tour a lot (possibly in Japan!) and record and release our second album! We are aiming for a September release date but as of now nothing is definite. But we are really excited for the second album.
